In a best-of-three-game final between PBA Hall of Famer Walter Ray Williams Jr. of Oxford, Fla., and 2014 PBA50 South Region Player of the Year Gary Morgan of Atlanta, Ga., Williams reigned victorious, 246-235, 195-189, to win his 37th career PBA Regional title in the PBA50 Pensacola South Open at New Liberty Lanes on Sunday, March 1.

Williams, who won all 11 games he bowled during the single-elimination match play finals, earned $1,900 while Morgan earned $1,000 as the runner-up.

In the best-of-three semifinal round, Morgan defeated amateur Tony Churchey of Madison, Ala., 210-179, 218-233, 230-169, while Williams defeated non-member Tim Maiseroulle of Buford, Ga., 206-179, 196-183.

The PBA South Region’s next tournament will be the PBA50 Fayetteville South Open in Fayetteville, N.C., March 20-22.
