Webb buys Ohio center

PBA Hall of Famer Wayne Webb and veteran bowling center proprietor Mike Irwin have purchased Rainbow Lanes in Columbus, Ohio.
Rainbow is a 48-lane center formerly owned by Bob McCracken and Rick Kennedy. The transaction was brokered by Sandy Hansell and Associates.
According to Hansell, Webb will serve as general manager of the facility, which will be renamed Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl. Webb's partner, Irwin, also owns a center in Dayton, Ohio.
In another transaction brokers by Sandy Hansell and Associates, Jim Matti has purchased Universal Lanes, a 28-lane center in Warren, Mich.
Matti is a newcomer to the bowling business. He previously worked in the retail grocery industry.
