Jeff Zaffino of Warren, Pa., defeated Brian LeClair of Albany, N.Y., 269-216, to win the PBA50 Rossi Lanes Eastern Open at Rossi Lanes Sunday for his 25th career PBA regional title.

Zaffino led qualifying and was never seriously challenged during Sunday’s elimination finals, losing only one game. The win earned him $2,700, including a $200 squad leader bonus. LeClair earned $1,250 as the runner-up.

Zaffino defeated Bill Neumann of Rensselaer, N.Y., 246-180, and LeClair defeated Sammy Ventura of Syracuse, N.Y., 193-189, in the semifinal round. Neumann and Ventura each earned $800 as semifinal round losers.

The next PBA East Region event is the PBA Rockaway Lanes East Open presented by Storm held at Rockaway Lanes in Rockaway, N.J., April 10-12.
