Atlantic East and Northeast regions lead teams into match play at 2026 USA Bowling National Championships

U12 QUALIFYING LEADERS - ATLANTIC EAST REGION - ORB DRILLER'S PRO SHOP

QUALIFYING RESULTS

LAKEVILLE, Minn. – Teams representing the Atlantic East and Northeast regions earned the top spots for the final day of match play in the 12-and-under and 15-and-under divisions, respectively, at the 2026 USA Bowling National Championships Wednesday at Lucky Strike Lakeville.

The 16 teams in each age division bowled 15 qualifying Baker format matches, and while all teams advanced to Thursday’s double-elimination match-play bracket, it was their records on Wednesday that determined seeding.

Bowling out of the Atlantic East region in U12, the Orb Driller’s Pro Shop team earned the top seed for Thursday’s match-play round by compiling a 13-2 record. That record was one game better than the team from the Northeast region – DKJ Pro Shop – which went 12-3.

Orb Driller’s Pro Shop posted Baker games of 215, 212, 194, 205, 180, 168, 193, 166, 183, 194, 197, 206, 198, 183 and 211 for a 15-game total of 2,905 (a 193.7 average), while compiling their field-best 13-2 match-play record. The squad is coached by Michael Rudy and features team members HolleyAnn Oot, Chase Rudy, Xander Suntheimer and Carson Wilkerson.

The 3,003 total (a 200.2 average) posted by the Northeast region’s DKJ Pro Shop set a USA Bowling National Championships U12 qualifying record and marked the first time any U12 team has broken the 3,000-pin mark, but since their match-play record was not as good as Orb Driller’s Pro Shop, they ended up seeded second.

The Bowling Stone’s out of the South region had the high game of the U12 qualifying block on Wednesday with 258. They’re seeded third for match play after compiling a 10-5 record.

U15 QUALIFYING LEADERS - NORTHEAST REGION - STRIKERS 3.0

In the U15 division, the Northeast region’s Strikers 3.0 and the Southwest region’s Desert Strikers each went 11-4 on Wednesday. Teams with the same match-play record during qualifying have the tie broken by total pinfall, so, based on that criteria, Northeast will be seeded first with a total pinfall of 3,204, and Southwest (3,051) will be seeded second.

Strikers 3.0 put together games of 237, 210, 202, 195, 227, 192, 255, 200, 201, 153, 211, 192, 256, 237 and 236 for their 3,204 total (a 213.6 average), which was the best in the U15 field. On the roster for Strikers 3.0 are Izzabella Dixon, Alexander Hanicak, Arryn Odujebe, Vincenzo Piccillo and Matthew Wenger. Their head coach is Danielle Dixon.

The high game during U15 qualifying was 278 rolled by the Mideast region’s Ten Pin Titans who qualified sixth for match play with a 9-6 record.

Thursday’s action at Lucky Strike Lakeville will feature all 32 teams (16 in each age division) in best-of-three double-elimination bracket match play that will result in two teams from each division advancing to Thursday evening’s final round.

Thursday evening’s best-of-five match finals will air live on both Bowling TV – the new 24-hour channel dedicated entirely to bowling – and BowlTV. The U12 finals will begin at 5 p.m. Eastern (4 p.m. local time), and the U15 finals will air at 7:30 p.m. Eastern (6:30 p.m. local).

BowlTV is providing exclusive live coverage of the qualifying and match-play rounds leading up to the finals, and, once again, more than $120,000 in scholarship money is being awarded through the USA Bowling program (regionals and nationals).

The 2026 USA Bowling National Championships features 16 regions competing in U12 and U15. Each team competing in Minnesota earned its spot by winning its regional event.
