USA Bowling Coaching program announces 2025 seminar locations
June 20, 2025

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress has awarded USA Bowling Coaching seminars for 2025, which provide free training to individuals interested in teaching the fundamentals of bowling to youth bowlers.
The 2025 seminar series marks the 15th year of the USA Bowling Coaching program, which has successfully trained 12,320 individuals across 772 seminars since its inception.
A USA Bowling Coaching seminar is beginner-level training open to coaches, parents and bowling enthusiasts and is designed to equip attendees with the skills needed to coach youth bowlers in their local programs by teaching the fundamentals of the sport – physical game, nutrition, physical fitness and life skills - to anyone.
Attendees learn how to communicate with today's kids and parents while gaining confidence in the ability to teach bowling. Participants will receive a 140-page coaching manual, two quick-reference guides and an eight-week lesson plan to support their instruction.
By attending a USA Bowling Coaching seminar and completing the post-seminar survey, attendees are given the opportunity to take the USBC Level 1 Coaching course also at no charge.
“These seminars are an incredible way to build a strong foundation for youth bowling,” said USBC Gold Coach Susie Minshew, who has been a USA Bowling Coaching instructor since its launch. “Seeing new coaches gain confidence in their ability to teach young bowlers and watching the impact they have in their communities keeps me passionate about being an instructor in this program.”
Bowling centers and youth programs hosting these seminars play a vital role in growing the sport at the grassroots level.
“Hosting a USA Bowling Coaching seminar is a huge benefit to our community,” said Jessi Matts, Youth Bowling Director and General Manager at Morgan Hill Bowl, which will host a seminar on October 5. “It provides our volunteers and parents with the knowledge and tools they need to create a positive experience for young bowlers, ensuring the future of our program and the sport as a whole.”
A current schedule of seminars for 2025 is available here on BOWL.com and will be updated as additional seminars are added.
